During NYCxDESIGN Week 2026, ZETR made its North American debut at Afternoon Light Design Fair, presenting an installation that explored the relationship between materiality, tactility, power and light.

Developed in collaboration with Flack Studio and illuminated by Volker Haug, the experience invited visitors into a layered composition of materials, surfaces and light. Timber veneer, leather, stone and metal formed a tactile landscape where electrical hardware was integrated into the architecture itself, encouraging curiosity, interaction and closer inspection.

Rather than sitting apart from the design, power and switching became part of the narrative. Receding into surfaces or contributing through material expression, each element was considered within the installation., normal

At the heart of the presentation was 13/FLUSH, a collection designed to integrate seamlessly within architectural surfaces while supporting the intent of the built environment around it. Presented within a range of material contexts, the collection demonstrated how electrical can either quietly disappear or become part of a project's material language.

Across four days, the installation became a point of connection for architects, designers, developers and design enthusiasts from around the world. Afternoon Light offered an opportunity to share the philosophy that has shaped ZETR since its beginning. A perspective grounded in integration, restraint and material consideration. One where electrical is resolved with intention and designed as part of the architecture itself.
