Headland House
Richards Stanisich
Residential
2026

Set on the headland of South Bondi, this residential project by Richards Stanisich reimagines an original Art Deco building as a sculptural coastal home. The design retains the building’s heritage bones while adding a new upper level and terrace, framing sweeping ocean views. Evoking Bondi’s lively essence while honouring its Art Deco heritage, the house balances restoration with bold, contemporary elements.

Inside, a sense of movement defines the experience. Light enters through shaped windows, reflecting across gloss ceilings, glazed ceramic tiles and curved forms. Colour and tone deepen as you move through each level, from fresh coastal hues above to oxblood tiles and rich stone floors below. A curated mix of vintage, contemporary and personal pieces further layers the interior with character and warmth.
ZETR’s 13 / FLUSH outlets with Carbon faceplates in Bronze are integrated throughout the home, complementing its evolving palette and tactile finishes. Bronze’s rich, earthy tones will patina over time, echoing the building’s layered history while supporting the architecture with seamless functionality.
