The House at Lizard Island
JDA Co
Residential
2026

In a landscape defined by extremes, The House at Lizard Island by JDA Co holds its ground. A project that it robust, elemental, and precisely resolved.
Conceived as a remote family retreat, the home is shaped by isolation, weather systems, and the need for resilience.
Here, concrete is not just a material but a response to climate, remoteness, and terrain. Power and switching in matte black are installed flush within the concrete surfaces, aligning seamlessly with the home’s enduring architectural language and reinforcing the tactile integrity of the material palette.
